Alexandria’s Career Journey
Alexandria Sauls is a December 2015 graduate from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and relocated to Baltimore, MD for an Operations role at Amazon in January 2016. During her 4.5 year tenure at Amazon, she held roles in Operations, Program Management, and Account Management. During her time at Amazon is when she saw first hand the lack of diversity in the tech industry and wanted to understand the gaps in hiring minorities today, creating opportunities to help with applicant submissions and joining internal employee resource groups (BEN - Amazon, Black @ Uber - Uber, Amplify - PayPal, Black Google Network) to help with recruiting efforts.
In addition, to build her knowledge and skills, Alexandria always jumps at the opportunity to participate in internal/external interviews, review resumes to identify candidates to come onsite to interview, and speak with hiring managers on what key indicators and/or characteristics they seek out in qualified candidates. Today, Alexandria now offers the following services to individuals looking for assistance in their career planning journeys.
